19349 - Kane County Multi-Use Facility Project

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Kane County (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the following bid packages for the Kane County Multi-Use Facility Project until 2:00 p.m. local time, January 22, 2020 at the Purchasing Department, Bldg. A, Room 210, 719 S. Batavia Avenue, Geneva, IL 60134

A. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time noted above.

B. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from the Office of the Architect – Cordogan Clark & Associates, Inc., 630.896.4678 or bkronewitter@cordoganclark.com, on or after December 16, 2019.

C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be distributed electronically. Bidders may visit the following web site to obtain the bid documents. Download and/or printing and shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder: https://www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com/jobs/public

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. December 23, 2019 at the adjacent Juvenile Justice Center Classroom on the St. Charles Campus at 37W655 Route 38. All bidders are encouraged to visit the sites.

F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best interests of the County.

H. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner by Cordogan Clark & Associates.
