NOTICE TO BIDDERS

A. Coal City Community Unit School District #1 (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the following project until 2:00 PM, local time, on March 2, 2020 at the District Office, 550 S. Carbon Hill Road, Coal City, IL 61727 Project #20301 – COAL CITY CUSD#1 MASONRY REPAIR PROJECT

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM and location noted above.

C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be distributed electronically. Bidders may also contact the following reprographic provider to obtain the bid documents. Printing and shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder: www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A pre-bid conference will be held at the following specified location on February 20, 2020 at 9:00 am; Coal City CUSD#1 District Office, 550 S. Carbon Hill Road, Coal City, IL 60416. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the conference.

F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best interests of the School District.

H. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner by Cordogan, Clark & Associates.
