NOTICE TO BIDDERS
A. Coal City Community Unit School District #1 (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the following project until 2:00 PM, local time, on March 2, 2020 at the District Office, 550 S. Carbon Hill Road, Coal City, IL 61727 Project #20302 – COAL CITY CUSD#1 MECHANICAL IMPROVEMENTS
B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 1:30 PM and location noted above.
C. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from Cordogan Clark & Associates, Inc., on their online plan room www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com on or after, February 20, 2020. Bidders may also contact Vesco Reprographics, Inc., www.vescorepro.com 1351 Aucutt Road, Montgomery, IL 60538, 630-896-2115, to obtain the bid documents.
D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.
E. A pre-bid conference will be held at the following specified location on February 21, 2020 at 9:00; Coal City CUSD#1 District Office, 550 S. Carbon Hill Road, Coal City, IL 60416.
F. All bidders are required to visit the site. The project site will be available during regular school hours by appointment only. The project site is available for inspection on a limited basis.
G. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.
H. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, or accept the bid that, in his opinion, will serve his best interests.
